I’m a proud Filipina-American working in the Mixed Martial Arts industry. I strive every day to succeed and at the same time I’m having the time of my life!

I’m recognized as the Queen of the Underground on MixedMartialArts.com, but there are plenty queens on that forum. I’m a female promoter in MMA, all about women empowerment which is why I love being a spokesmodel for Fight Chix. Fight Chix is for women who are not afraid of a challenge and meet it head on. Fight Chix is Sexy. Fight Chix is Strong. Fight Chix is Empowering Women Worldwide.

My first event was NAMMAE, the North American Mixed Martial Arts Expo in 2007 at the Anaheim Convention Center which had 5,000-7,000 MMA fans as attendees. After that, we did a mini-NAMMAE at the Shrine Auditorium with King of the Cage called Fight Night at the Shrine. We then switched up our investors and started IMMAE, the International Mixed Martial Arts Expo and had successful shows in 2008 and 2009 with having 12,000-15,000 MMA fans as attendees.

I feel honored and blessed to be a part of such a great industry. At that time, my primary goal was to help create commerce and synergy within the industry and that’s exactly what I did. I love hearing stories of MMA companies making connections, MMA fans meeting their favorite fighter, and people having an opportunity to meet Charles ‘Mask’ Lewis Jr from TapouT (RIP), at one of my events. This is why I do what I do; it’s such a great feeling!

In the midst of being involved in the MMA industry, I’ve also co-hosted MMA with Yac & J on ProElite.com when ProElite/EliteXC was still around. I’ve also written for Fight Hype & MMA Sports Magazine, been in Fight! Magazine for Fight Chix, and somehow became Urijah Faber’s hair braiding stylist (lol). I’ve also worked on GymPass with Miss Rara on BJPenn.com. It’s a show where I’m touring MMA’s toughest gyms and camps produced by the creators of MTV’s Bully Beatdown & Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Since parting ways with my partners at IMMAE, I’ve been working on Their Fight Is Our Fight (TFIOF), which is a non-profit organization I co-founded to help typhoon victims in the Philippines. My long term goal is to take it to the Philippines and personally give back to the community with MMA fighters.

Currently, I’m co-hosting a show with UFC fighter Nate Quarry called American CageFighter on Comcast Sportsnet.

Thank you for your continuous support!

Warm Regards,
Miss Rara
